Hami Canada Presents Dance for Laughs

A Fundraising Event

Dance for Laughs”, a fun-filled and uplifting fundraising program presented to you in collaboration with Khorshid Khanom Dance Group under the artistic direction of Ms. Aram Bayat. All proceeds will go toward providing educational support programs to schools built by Hami Canada.

Having put behind us the worst of the pandemic and its restrictions, we are all now eager to attend concerts and events to energize us and lift our spirits. This is just the kind of program that fits that bill.

“Dance for laughs” is a semi-narrative dance with a touch of irony about the dance itself performed in a collection of Iranian classical, folkloric, solo and group dance pieces accompanied by live music and vocals in two parts with a 40-minute intermission.

Much of the performance was based on real-life experiences of those in the dance community, how others perceive them, their challenges and the obstacles they face in pursuing their art. However, this is presented to the audience in a comedic, humorous and light-hearted manner. It is funny, and you will LAUGH.
