Hami Canada’s mission is to provide access to education and raise funding for development in deprived regions.

Hami Canada is a registered not-for-profit which is not affiliated with any religious, political, or sectarian group.

Goals and Objectives

Hami Canada's Goals

  • Raise public awareness about the need for accessible and adequate educational and cultural spaces for children in remote and underdeveloped areas of the world.

  • Support the work of global organizations involved with children’s education through fundraising initiatives in Canada and the Greater Toronto Area in particular.

  • To foster and nurture volunteer work, especially among young people, and encourage empathy for the less fortunate.

  • To promote the spirit of generosity as a means of achieving personal well-being.

  • To expand the work of Hami Canada globally.

  • we strive to empower girls through education to reach their full potential

Hami Canada Primary Objectives

  • Construction of schools in deprived regions;

  • Support students and up-keep of schools and provision of school supplies;

  • Build libraries and supply books in rural areas and promote reading;

  • Provide sports supplies and facilities to support the health and wellness of students;

  • Train teachers and administrators;

  • Provide scholarships for post-secondary education.

Mohammad Fotovat

Mohammad Fotovat

    Mohammad Fotovat is a mechanical engineer, a businessman and an entrepreneur.  He has established and led 2 very successful food manufacturing businesses in Canada over the past 34 years. Now, his primary passion and focus is identifying, reaching out, advocating and providing support for humanitarian causes globally.  His work and leadership in several charity and disaster relief organizations have given him the experience and reputation to undertake worthwhile and successful projects.  He established Hami Canada in 2017 and has been a board member since then.

    Mina Sarlati

    Mina Sarlati

      Mina Sarlati is a certified translator and interpreter in Canada. She worked for over 13 years as a consultant for the Toronto District School Board. She has been involved with charitable and not-for-profit organizations for more than 25 years and has served as a board member. She has committed most of her time to advocating and fundraising for charitable and humanitarian causes. She is one of the founding members of Hami Canada.

      Mahshid Mohajer

      Mahsid A. Mohajer

        Mahshid has a Master’s degree in Architecture and is a self-employed architectural designer with more than 25 years of experience in architectural design industries in Iran and Canada, being involved in various building typologies.

        She has always been passionate about making people’s lives better and believes that this can be achieved through proper education. With the core belief in the right to education for every child, she has been one of the core team members of Hami Canada since its inception.

        Narmé Hejri

        Nagmeh Hejri

          Naghmeh is an interior architect with over 23 years of experience in Canada. Owner & principal designer of Elemental Interior Design, she is dedicated to creating comfortable working and living environments with a positive impact on her clients' lives. Naghmeh is a strong advocate for children’s education and believes education is the only way out of poverty. Naghmeh has been a member of Hami Canada since its beginning and is dedicated to changing kids' lives one school at a time.

          Kaivan Talachian

          Kaivan Talachian

            Kaivan Talachian is a healthcare executive and dedicated humanitarian with a deep commitment to education and social impact. Drawing on his leadership experience in the healthcare sector, he brings strategic insight and compassion to community initiatives that promote access to learning and empowerment for children in underserved regions. As an active member of Hami Canada, Kaivan combines his professional expertise with a passion for cultural and educational development—helping to create opportunities that inspire hope and lasting change.

              Roozbeh Shahriari is a dedicated community leader, cultural advocate, and active supporter of humanitarian initiatives. With a deep passion for education, arts, and cultural preservation, he has contributed to several projects that promote social impact and cross-cultural understanding. Through his involvement with organizations like Hami Canada, Roozbeh continues to champion opportunities that empower children and strengthen communities through education and cultural exchange.
