Hami Canada decided to complete the construction of a girls' technical/vocation high school in Narmashir village near the city of Bam in Kerman Province.  Due to a budget shortfall, the Ministry of Education had stopped construction work on the school building. This meant that 350 girls from this region had no access to skills training in a suitable facility.

This school is named after Homa Rouhi, a native of Kerman who had dedicated her life’s work to women’s rights with the strong belief and the commitment that education is the best tool for empowering women.
